How do I place an order?

Simply add your chosen item to the basket. The drop-down menu on each listing will indicate whether the item is in stock, made to order, or out of stock. If an item is out of stock, it cannot be added to your basket.

Order processing times vary depending on availability:

In stock items: We aim to dispatch these within 3 working days via Royal Mail Tracked for peace of mind and protection.
Made to order items: Once your order is placed, we’ll confirm whether the required fabrics are in stock and provide an estimated turnaround time. If the fabric needs to be ordered in, this may affect production time slightly — though our suppliers are usually prompt. We will keep you updated throughout and provide tracking details once your order is dispatched.

If for any reason we are unable to fulfil your order — such as a fabric being discontinued — we’ll contact you to discuss alternative options. Any changes will always be your choice.

Can I return my item?

This depends on whether the item is custom-made or not. Please refer to our Returns Policy for full details.

As a general rule, we cannot accept returns on custom-made or personalised items unless the item is faulty. To avoid disappointment, please ensure all details and measurements are correct when placing your order, as we cannot be responsible for errors due to incorrect information provided.

I need an item for a specific date — can I request priority?

We usually work on a first come, first served basis. However, if you need something urgently, please contact us — depending on our current workload, we may be able to prioritise your order.

What is the wait list?

Some items — especially our more elaborate pieces like dance tutus — require significant time to complete. To maintain our high standards, we may limit the number of orders we accept at one time. When we reach capacity, we’ll temporarily close our order books and place further requests on a wait list. This ensures each outfit receives the care and attention it deserves.

I’ve seen a fabric I love — can you make one of your outfits with it?

Absolutely! Just email us at hello@foreverknots.co.uk with:

A photo or link to the fabric
The name of the outfit you’d like made with it

We’ll let you know if it’s possible and provide a price.

What sizes do you offer?

We offer a wide range of sizes from baby through to older children. Size availability may vary by item, and many outfits can be custom-sized. If you're unsure which size to order, please contact us and we'll be happy to help.

Do you offer custom sizing or design requests?

Yes! Many of our garments are made to order, and we’re happy to tailor sizing or tweak designs to suit your needs. Just send us a message before ordering to discuss what's possible.

How should I care for my handmade garment?

We recommend washing all garments on a gentle cycle. For the first wash, a lower temperature of 20°C is advised, as our fabrics are not pre-washed. After that, washing at 40°C is fine. Our items have been tested for durability and show minimal shrinkage. They can also be safely dried in a tumble dryer.

Do you ship internationally?

We mainly ship within the UK. However, if you're outside the UK and interested in ordering, please get in touch — we may be able to accommodate your request.

Can I make changes to my order once it's placed?

As many items are handmade to order, changes may not always be possible once production has started. If you need to update something, please contact us as soon as possible and we’ll do our best to help.

Do you offer gift wrapping or personalised messages?

Yes! If you're purchasing a gift, we're happy to include a handwritten note or gift wrap. Please leave your request in the order notes at checkout or contact us directly.
