At ForeverKnots, we like to support other small businesses — especially independent designers. We often return to the same pattern companies again and again, which is a true reflection of how much we value their work and how well their designs fit our style and our customers' needs.
Every piece of clothing we create starts with more than just fabric and thread — it starts with a pattern. And those patterns? They come from passionate, small-scale designers who truly care about quality, comfort, and creativity.
I’ve been sewing and knitting for over 30 years, and I understand the amount of time, testing, adjusting, and heart that goes into creating a well-fitting children’s garment — especially for kids of all ages, shapes, and needs.
Independent pattern designers understand that too. Their designs often reflect the real-life needs of real children — clothes that move, play, and grow with them.
By choosing these patterns, I’m not just supporting their businesses — I’m also passing on that same level of care, fit, and thoughtfulness to every family who shops with ForeverKnots.
Our Go-To Pattern Designers
We’re proud to feature patterns from some of the most talented indie designers in the handmade world:
Little Lizard King – Absolutely fantastic designs! Every pattern comes with detailed tutorials, perfect for makers at any skill level.
Ellie and Mac – A brilliant company with a wide variety of fun and wearable styles. They’ve recently had a great update to their design system, and it’s better than ever!
Puperita – I’ve used Puperita patterns both personally and for the business for many years. Her designs are beautiful, and she’s always so helpful if you need support. The included tutorials are excellent.
Wildseed Patterns – One of my newer go-tos, but I’ve been really impressed so far. Such beautiful, well-thought-out designs.
Me Oh My Patterns – Absolutely adorable styles — I’m especially in love with the Daisy pattern!
These designers help bring ForeverKnots to life. I trust their patterns to be comfortable, adaptable, and always stylish for children of all ages and needs.
ForeverKnots isn’t just about handmade clothes — it’s about supporting handmade at every level.
From the fabrics I source to the patterns I use, I do my best to support other small creators, makers, and designers throughout the entire process. When you place an order with me, your support ripples outward — helping pattern designers continue to innovate, helping fabric shops keep sourcing amazing prints, and keeping traditional craft alive and thriving.
I believe in lifting others up. Supporting independent pattern designers is my way of saying: your creativity matters. Your work makes my work better. And together, we’re creating something truly unique for families who care about quality, individuality, and heart.
So next time you order from ForeverKnots, know that the pattern used to create your child’s outfit came from another small business — and you helped support two makers with just one purchase
.
